There are around 180,000 homes, farms and business across Ireland that currently have no power since Storm Éowyn hit the country and the ESB has requested help from European countries.
Over 490,000 customers, who lost power on Friday or over the weekend, have already had their homes power restored by ESB Networks.
A spokesperson for ESB Networks said that "this was by far the worst storm experienced by ESB Networks both in terms of customers losing supply and the scale of damage around the Network."
Support from Great Britain is already being received in the country and the ESB has requested further support from electrical network operators from Europe.
"We anticipate that the vast majority of customers who lost power during Storm Éowyn will have power restored by January 31.
For the remaining customers, these will progressively have power restored over the course of the following week- this could be as many as 100,000 customers," the spokesperson added.

ESB Networks crews, as well as the aid from Great Britain and European countries, are being redeployed from the south and east to the worst impacted areas once restoration in their area has completed.
