It looks like we're in for a bitterly cold weekend according to the latest forecast from Met Éireann.
Another cold and frosty morning can be expected on Friday morning and, in some good news, it is expected to stay dry and sunny in most places. However, the south and east will be slightly cloudier with light to moderate easterly winds. Highest temperatures should reach between 4 and 7 degrees.
Similar to Thursday, Friday night will be dry with more clear spells and light winds. More frost and ice are expected with lowest temperatures of -3 to +1 degrees. It should be slightly warmer in the east.
Saturday will continue to be sunny although it will be extremely cold. Temperatures will range between 4 and 7 degrees in a light northeasterly breeze.

Saturday night will be a chilly one, with lowest temperatures of -3 to +2 degrees. Again, the east and southeast won't be as cold as the rest of the country. It will be a mostly dry night with some isolated showers here and there.
The sunny spells will come to an end on Sunday with a dull day and some light showers. Highest temperatures will range from 5 to 8 degrees in moderate easterly winds.
