Windy today with widespread showers, some heavy and prolonged. Highest temperatures 9 to 11 degrees with strong and gusty southwest winds, veering westerly later.
Showers will become mostly confined to Atlantic coastal counties tonight with long dry and clear spells developing elsewhere. Lowest temperatures 3 to 5 degrees as strong westerly winds ease overnight.
Sunny spells and scattered showers tomorrow, Saturday and there is the chance of a spell of more persistent rain affecting southern counties for a time. Highest temperatures 10 to 13 degrees with light winds to moderate westerly winds.
Clear spells and isolated showers Saturday night. Lowest temperatures zero to plus 2 degrees in moderate northerly breezes.
