Phléadáil Jozef Puska, 33, as Lynally Grove i Muclach, Tulach Mhór, neamhchiontach ina dúnmharú.
Dúirt Puska leis an gcúirt go raibh sé "ag iarraidh cabhrú" Ashling Murphy tar éis ionsaí líomhnaithe ag fear eile ar an gcanáil.
Chuala an giúiré freisin Puska ag admháil go raibh sé ag rá bréag leis na Gardaí, a deir go bhfuil fadhbanna aige lena chuimhne agus gur iarr sé ar dhuine éigin a chuid éadaí a dhó tar éis an ionsaí.
